Help me understand – I Just Don’t Want to “Play” the Stock Market

Of course you don’t, I understand that completely. I don’t “play” the market either. I don’t even know where the phrase “playing the stock market” even comes from. This often common terminology is misleading but actually undermines what Good investors are doing.

There are no guarantees! Investing should produce a return that will warrant the associated risk.

If you are a long-term investor you understand that gambling is for the Horses Casino and lottery. It is NOT for YOU. I was once told that I had more luck becoming a. Rock star like Mick Jagger than winning the lotto!).

So then, is trading stocks something a novice should get into? Some one who has been investing for years could be culprit. No if you have nothing else to do, NO. successful day traders are few and far between. Thinking of quitting your job to become one would definitely be a risk. You probably want to do something else, long term investors are lucky to be able to do that. Investing is for people who have a goal of someday being able to do what they want to do, NOT what they have to do.

For me my knowledge is rewarded when I can share it with my clients to help them reach their goal and obtain financial freedom. This is my job and this is why I do it, to help people like you have financial freedom.

It is hard for people to understand why they need an advisor but when you consider this is all they do and they are here to help you. If you ask yourself do I have the gumption it takes to achieve my goals do you still want to risk investing your money without the advice of an expert. Just as in your day job it took time for you to climb to the top, sound financial wisdom follows the same method. Good investing is not and can not be an emotional thing for you.

The bottom line is that you need a coach, a mentor, an emotionally uninvolved professional who can take a step back and help you see the big picture for yourself, help you define your goals, and help you reach them. playing the market is not something you have to do if you are properly invested.
